Background: This webinar archive will discuss the uses of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi MAC address data for agency use such as travel time and Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) integration. Pros and cons of equipment placement will be presented, and demonstration of uses within an ATMS system will be shown. Case studies of other types of uses of the data will be presented such as origin-destination, construction zones, and arterial travel time for internal use and display on Dynamic Message Signs. In addition, a general discussion of adaptive signals and how data such as this can affect modeling and simulations will be presented, along with potential future trends.
