COURSE DESCRIPTION:

 

New Jersey Department of Transportation Community Transportation Planning Assistance Program was established to assist communities with these challenges by providing access to quality planning expertise.

 

This webinar will highlight three projects conducted under this program and discuss lessons learned regarding the study process and community and stakeholder engagement.

 

TARGET AUDIENCE: Safety engineers, transportation planners, consultants, public agency coordinators.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1) Discuss methods for, challenges of including stakeholders and community at the early stages of the transportation planning process.

2) Describe safety, operational, and quality of life benefits of context-sensitive transportation enhancements.

3) Identify transportation analysis methods that can provide a clear and concise representation of the impact of proposed transportation enhancements.

4) Discuss successes and lessons learned from real examples in urban, suburban and rural communities in New Jersey.

Webinars are designed for group training in one location. Have staff or invited guest in one room, have the presentation projected onto a screen and the audio received from the computer mic/speakers or telephone.

This course is eligible for the following certification renewal(s):PTOE, PTP, AICP
 
Earning Course Credit: A course evaluation must be completed. This enrollment and the evaluation is name specific and non-transferable. Site attendees may earn course credits upon verification by ITE staff. Instructions regarding the process will be provided to the site registrant via email and in an attachment.

Course Credit: 1.5 PDH/1.5 CM
