COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This webinar is a part of a series to illustrate how to star rate a road and use the iRAP software ViDA to look at pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and vehicle occupant star ratings and the associated fatalities estimation, investment plans and before and after results. This webinar will teach the introductory details of the iRAP model and methodology.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

 

1) Utilize the iRAP software, ViDA to look at results of the star rating of roads in map, table and chart based views.

2) Review and analyze the network level and road level Safer Road Investment Plans that detail cost-effective road investments that maximize the lives saved per dollar spent.

3) Use the iRAP Toolkit that provides best-practice advice of safe system treatments.

 

Things to know:
Webinars are designed for group training in one location. Have staff or invited guest in one room, have the presentation projected onto a screen and the audio received from the computer mic/speakers or telephone.

Earning Course Credit: A course evaluation must be completed. This enrollment and the evaluation is name specific and non-transferable. Site attendees may earn course credits upon verification by ITE staff. Instructions regarding the process will be provided to the site registrant via email and in an attachment.
