COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This webinar explores many of the emerging ITS applications and technologies, as well as anticipated changes to current practices and infrastructure requirements. It also explores how connected vehicles offer a fundamental change in systems management and ITS infrastructure by focusing on vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-roadway communication. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
1. Discuss emerging ITS applications that are being developed today to achieve society's goals and vision;
2. Recognize key enabling technologies that support emerging ITS applications;
3. Explain the basic technologies and the various core system components that must be deployed to realize the connected vehicle environment; and
4. Describe key policy, legal, and funding issues that must be addressed to successfully deploy a connected vehicle environment.
