Webinar Description
Parking is the first and last impression of a destination for many users. This presentation focuses on the efficient, safe, and user-friendly design of on-street and off-street parking in accordance with best practices available today, with a closing section on emerging trends. The information is obtained from Chapter 13 of the Traffic Engineering Handbook. The areas covered include on-street parking, off-street parking, and structured parking. Pedestrian safety in parking lots is also addressed. Topics related to planning, such as trends in parking demand, are covered as well, although more in depth information can be obtained from the Transportation Planning Handbook.
