Applying Surrogate Safety Techniques To Assess Protected Bik

Webinar Description:
Learn how the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) used new video-based surrogate safety techniques to diagnose and validate safety improvements for protected bike lanes at six intersections in Seattle. Participants will also hear the benefits of implementing the video-based safety technique as well as factors to consider when deciding to implement it.

  • Introduction to surrogate road safety.
  • Considerations for implementing video-based road safety techniques.
