Truck Trip Generation

Webinar Description:
Understanding truck trip generation is key to uncovering the effects of a wide range of activities from urban deliveries to new large warehouse developments. Until recently, truck trip generation techniques were very rudimentary.

In this webinar, you will hear from industry experts who led recent work undertaken by ITE (Trip Generation Manual Update) and the National Cooperative Freight Research Program (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s NCFRP Report 19: Freight Trip Generation and Land Use). Both projects enable transportation professionals to address “last mile” freight issues in a way never done before.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define day-to-day transportation issues related to urban goods movement
  • Identify how truck trip generation techniques could be used to help improve planning and operations
  • Understand the latest trip generation techniques and resources
  •  Learn how communities have used these techniques to improve planning and TSMO.
